Strike20 app · Last updated: [date of publication]

In short: most of your data stays on your phone. Workout requests go to our server in Zurich and to a service that writes your workouts. If you're on Neuro Elite and choose to share your progress with your coach, that data is stored on our server and only your coach can see it. We don't sell your data, show ads or track you across apps or websites.

1. Who is responsible

The controller responsible for your personal data is:
Luke Strike, [business name, if different]
[street address, postcode, town], Switzerland
Email: luke@strike20.ch

This policy explains how the Strike20 app ("the app", "we") handles your personal data under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where it applies, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. Data that stays on your phone

The following is stored only on your device and is not sent to us, unless described in sections 3–6:

Deleting the app deletes this data. We can't recover it.

Apple Health (optional). If you connect Apple Health in Profile → Apple Health, the app saves your finished workouts (with an estimate of calories burned) to Apple Health, and reads your body weight, step count and resting heart rate. You choose exactly what to allow in Apple's permission screen and can change it any time in the Health app. Data read from Apple Health stays on your phone, unless you also turn on sharing it with your coach (section 5). We never use Apple Health data for advertising, never sell it, and never share it with anyone else.

3. Subscriptions

Subscriptions are sold and billed by Apple. We never receive your name, Apple ID or payment details. To confirm which plan you have, the app sends us Apple's signed record of your subscription, which contains a transaction ID, the product (plan) and its expiry date. We use it only to check your subscription and to apply daily limits. Apple's handling of your purchase is covered by Apple's privacy policy.

4. Building your workouts (paid plans)

When you ask for a new workout, the app sends a request to our server, which passes the details below to Anthropic, a service that writes the workout for us:

We do not send your name, email, weight, age or meal data for this. Injury information can be health data; we only send it so your workouts avoid exercises that could aggravate an injury, and only if you've entered it.

Anthropic acts as our service provider (processor) and processes these requests on our instructions. Under its commercial terms it does not use this data to train its models. It may keep requests for a limited period for security and abuse monitoring, as set out in Anthropic's privacy policy. Anthropic is based in the United States; see section 9.

To keep usage fair, our server counts how many workouts each subscription builds per day (transaction ID, date and count).

Exercise demo videos are downloaded from our server. Like any website, our hosting provider sees your device's IP address when you load them.

5. Sharing your progress with your coach (Neuro Elite, only with your consent)

Neuro Elite includes personal coaching. With your explicit consent, given on the "Share your progress" screen in the app, the app sends the following to our server so your coach can see it:

Some of this is health data. We process it only on the basis of your explicit consent and only for your coaching. It is updated automatically while sharing is on. Only your coach can view it, through a password-protected dashboard.

Your coach can also save instructions for your workouts (a focus, intensity, exercises to include or avoid, and a message to you). These are stored with your account and used when your workouts are built.

You can withdraw consent at any time in the app under Profile → Your coach. Withdrawing deletes the shared data and your coach's instructions from our server straight away. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing before it.

6. Neuro Elite places and waitlist

Because Neuro Elite includes the coach's time, places are limited. The app of each Neuro Elite member periodically confirms the membership to our server (transaction ID and expiry date) so we know how many places are taken. If Neuro Elite is full and you join the waitlist, we store the email address and the optional first name you enter, and use them only to tell you when a place opens.

7. Who processes your data

We don't sell or rent your data, and we don't share it with advertisers or data brokers. We may disclose data if required by law.

8. How long we keep data

9. International transfers

Our database is in Switzerland. Workout requests (section 4) are processed by Anthropic in the United States. Where data goes to a country without an adequate level of data protection, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the Standard Contractual Clauses (as recognised by the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner) and, where applicable, the Swiss-US Data Privacy Framework. [Confirm the safeguard Anthropic's data processing terms provide.]

10. Legal bases (GDPR, where it applies)

11. Your rights

You can ask us for access to the personal data we hold about you, and to correct, delete or restrict it, receive it in a portable format, or object to its processing. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Email luke@strike20.ch; we'll reply within 30 days. You can also complain to the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (edoeb.admin.ch) or, in the EU, your local data protection authority.

12. Security

Data is sent over encrypted connections. Our database can only be read by our server; client data is visible only to the coach after signing in. No system is perfectly secure, but we limit what we collect and how long we keep it.

13. Health information and age

Strike20 provides general fitness, nutrition and educational information. It is not medical advice, and the Neuro Score is a personal benchmark, not a medical test. The app is intended for adults aged 18 and over.

14. Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the app.
